Hi, I’m Chiara, 28 years old, originally from Rome and currently living in Milan. Travel has shaped who I am long before it became a passion. At 17, I spent a year in North Carolina through an exchange program, living with a host family and navigating a completely new culture and language. It was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, and it taught me that the best things often happen outside our comfort zone. Since then, I’ve continued chasing that feeling: studying abroad in Norway during university, moving between Rome, Genoa and Milan, and exploring new places whenever possible. Professionally, I work in finance as a portfolio manager, but what excites me most about travel is the opportunity to meet people and build genuine connections. I believe that creating group chemistry isn’t about forcing interactions—it’s about helping everyone feel comfortable enough to be themselves. Thanks to my experiences living abroad and meeting people from different backgrounds, I’ve learned how to make strangers feel at ease and turn a group into a team. I also grew up traveling with my dad, who worked for an airline. Flying standby meant plans changed constantly: destinations, hotels, restaurants and itineraries often had to be reorganized at the last minute. For me, the best journeys are not only about the places you visit, but about the people you meet along the way—and that’s exactly what I’d love to help create as a WeRoad Coordinator.
